PAKISTAN 22-year-old woman died by suicide after her family lost the money intended for her college education. The young woman dreamed of being admitted to Harvard University and wanted to receive a quality education, get a well-paying job, and help her family escape poverty.
While looking for a way to study at the prestigious American university, she turned to an adviser who allegedly promised to secure her admission for $32,000. Her parents decided to sacrifice almost everything they had. Her father sold a plot of land, and her mother gave up her jewelry to raise the necessary amount.
It was later revealed that the family had fallen victim to a scammer and lost the money. The loss of their savings and the collapse of her educational plans deeply affected the young woman. According to available information, she subsequently hanged herself from a tree.
