SHIVPURI DISTRICT, MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA – JUNE 6, 2026 There was a brutal attack in which a 17-year-old girl was seriously injured. According to the police and witness statements, the attacker was supposed to be 22-year-old Dharmendra Parihar, who had been harassing her for a long time and allegedly stalking her after she rejected him. The incident took place while the girl was home alone, and the man allegedly forcibly entered the house. He then repeatedly struck her with an axe to the head and face, causing very serious injuries. The case is being investigated as attempted murder.

According to available information, the attack continued even after the girl tried to escape to the roof of the house. The attacker followed her there and attempted to hang her using a rope. During the incident, the rope came loose and the girl fell back down, where she remained critically injured. After the attack, neighbors found her in critical condition and immediately transported her to the hospital, where she underwent intensive treatment. Doctors stated that she suffered extensive head and facial injuries and her condition was serious.
The police subsequently detained the suspect and launched an investigation. According to local media, the man had been harassing the girl for a long time, and the family claims that there had previously been incidents related to stalking and harassment.
