NEW YORK CITY, USA – AUGUST 13, 2025 52-year-old man was struck by a car while crossing the street near John F. Kennedy Airport. The incident occurred at the intersection of 155th Street and South Conduit Avenue in the Springfield Gardens neighborhood of Queens.
The driver fled the scene, and despite intensive police efforts, has not yet been located. The victim sustained severe head trauma and one of his arms was completely crushed. After being transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, he was pronounced dead by doctors.
A video recorded by a bystander shortly after the incident shows the man lying in a pool of blood, still conscious and moving. Shockingly, the witness chose to film rather than provide first aid. Simply calling an ambulance in such a case is not enough.
If you ever find yourself in a situation like this, forget about recording video. The first step is to call for an ambulance and stop the bleeding. If others are present, assign someone to mark the hazard on the road and redirect traffic into another lane.
