BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA – AUGUST 20, 2026 In the Palermo Sur area, 36-year-old taxi driver José Castañeda was assassinated. A hitman surprised him while he was shopping in a pharmacy and killed him with two shots – one to the head and the other to the back. The attack was captured by security cameras. An intensive police investigation is currently underway to determine the identity of the perpetrator and his motive.
