She had been hung from a piece of cloth (scarf) so that her feet were touching the ground. There was vomit and some pills on the floor. It is believed that she first attempted suicide by poisoning, which failed, so she chose another method.
Initially there were fears that she had been murdered, but the place was masked to make it look like a suicide. Her ex-boyfriend was said to have been aggressive and even threatened to kill her. The fact that the woman’s tongue was not protruding, which is common in hangings, added to the fears.
In the end, however, detectives and forensic experts were able to prove that the fears were false and that she had indeed committed suicide. The absence of a protruding tongue was due to the unusual angle at which she hanged herself.
