PMF (Popular Mobilization Forces) is a coalition of mostly Shiite militias that was formed in 2014 and is officially part of the Iraqi security forces, but many of its factions are considered pro-Iranian. Some cooperate with the Iranian government, while others operate directly as militias linked to Iran.
