VLADIKAVKAZ, RUSSIA – FEBRUARY, 2021 The relationship of 32-year-old Vadim Tekhov and 22-year-old Regina Gagieva began as a romance when Regina was still 18 and attending high school. They got married, made a baby together, but later it was revealed that Vadim was possessive, jealous and a domestic abuser. She divorced him, but his jealous attacks and stalking did not stop even though she pleaded with the authorities for help many times.

On that fateful day, he followed her to the store where Regina worked as a clerk. He verbally attacked her and accused her of texting other men. When he demanded that she unlock her phone and she refused to do so, he became very angry. He grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her 15 times in the neck area.

She was rushed to hospital in a critical condition where doctors were forced to put her into an artificial sleep. However, she never woke up from it and died a few days later.

Her colleagues said they were absolutely horrified by the whole situation. They said everything happened so quickly that they had no chance to help her. They said they will never forget her frightened expression when she tried to speak, but the stab wounds on her neck prevented her from doing so.
