SHINJUKU, TOKYO – MAY, 2019 Yuka Takaoka, known as the IRL Yandere, stabbed her boyfriend with a kitchen knife in their apartment in Shinjuku, Tokyo, in May 2019. She was a cosplayer active on Instagram and TikTok, the couple were both host and hostess.

Yuka thought her boyfriend, Phoenix Luna, was cheating on her, so she attempted to kill him and planned to kill herself afterwards. She scrambled “I love you” in her diary with blood. Photos of her arrest show her smiling. The boyfriend survived and refused to press charges against his assailant, so Yuka was released in 2023 and is now active on social medias again.
