MALI JNIM jihadists filmed a video after a successful offensive against members of the Malian army. They killed several of them and then loaded their bodies onto the bed of an armored pickup truck. During the loading, some of them amused themselves by desecrating their bodies and shooting at them from close range.
Large-scale insurgency is currently taking place in Mali, led primarily by the jihadist group JNIM, which is affiliated with al-Qaeda. The group attacks government and military targets, disrupts supply routes, and seeks to expand its influence in various parts of the country. The Malian army is conducting extensive military operations against it.
