Landmine tore Russian soldier’s foot

UKRAINE – MAY 3, 2026 Russian soldier suffered a severe injury to his foot during a combat operation. When he stepped on a landmine, the explosion tore his foot. He was transported to a field hospital for initial treatment. Updates on his current health condition are not available.

Anti-personnel mines are usually not designed to kill. Their purpose is to maim, which is more effective because they place a greater burden on the enemy – logistically, financially, and in terms of available resources.
