GOLAN HEIGHTS, ISRAEL – JULY 27, 2024 A rocket fired from Lebanon, presumably by the Islamist militant group Hezbollah, hit a football pitch in Golan Heights. The pitch was full of people. The blast and shrapnel killed 11 people, including children. The youngest victim was 9 years old and the oldest was 20.

The Israeli army condemned the attack as the worst attack against civilians since October 7, 2023, when Gaza terrorists infiltrated Israeli territory and killed some 1,200 people. Top Israeli officials are promising harsh retaliation.
