BAIÃO, PARÁ, BRAZIL – JANUARY 3, 2025 27-year-old bricklayer, Alessandro Barroso Lucas, tragically lost his life due to electrocution. He was the husband of Mrs. Oneide Soares, who works as a cleaner at CESIPA school. At the time of the incident, she was at her workplace and unable to provide further details about what had occurred.
Witnesses reported that Alessandro suffered a fatal electric shock. His father, Mr. Alacide, was alerted by the cries of bystanders and rushed to help his son, even risking electrocution himself. When he managed to pull Alessandro away, he found that his son had already passed away.
A relative of the deceased, Raquel R. Campelo, expressed outrage over the situation, noting that the electrical condensers in the area were installed dangerously close to the road, without protective barriers or warning signs to indicate the risk of electrocution.
Alessandro’s body was sent to the forensic institute in Abaetetuba for an autopsy. Family and friends are now awaiting his return for funeral proceedings, mourning his loss deeply. This tragedy has raised concerns about the safety of electrical installations in the region and highlighted the urgent need for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
