KABANJAHE, NORTH SUMATRA, INDONESIA – JULY 30, 2026 Tragic incident occurred in the area of Plaza Kabanjahe shopping center, where one man fatally attacked another with a knife. The victim was 40-year-old Andre Jaya Sembiring, also known as Dekke. According to local media, he was attacked during an argument by 60-year-old Kamra Tarigan. Kamra Tarigan allegedly attacked Andre Jaya Sembiring with a knife a total of four times, after which the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after the attack. Kamra Tarigan was arrested approximately 20 minutes after the incident. According to police, the officer who arrived at the scene found him with a knife, and the suspect subsequently admitted carrying out the attack. Police also seized a knife with its sheath, a red cap, a black sandal, and a bloodstained mobile phone screen.
The motive for the attack was not definitively confirmed in the initial police statements, and the case remained under investigation. However, some local reports and social media posts claimed that the incident was related to an alleged affair and that Andre Jaya Sembiring was allegedly the lover of Kamra Tarigan’s wife.
