PEMATANG SIANTAR CITY, NORTH SUMATRA, INDONESIA – JUNE 23, 2025 47-year-old man, identified only by the initials ES, was found hanged in his home on Jalan Pane Street, in the Tomuan district of Siantar Timur. His neighbor, Boru Sitorus, stated that she had seen him earlier that same morning and that he seemed completely normal. However, she also said that over the past four months, he had been under abnormal stress due to a divorce from his wife. This is currently considered the most likely motive.
ES’s body was transported to RSUD Djasamen Saragih Hospital, where a forensic autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Although it appears to be a clear case of suicide, foul play must be ruled out.
