PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA – MARCH 22, 2018 29-year-old bartender, Dim Samphors, was found hanged in her rented apartment in Phnom Penh. According to the testimony of her friend and neighbor, the victim had been arguing with her partner over the phone shortly before the incident, during which the phone was smashed against the wall. After this, the victim invited her neighbor for drinks, but the neighbor declined due to work commitments. Throughout the night, the neighbor heard the victim crying, and in the morning, she discovered the body hanging from the loft railing of the apartment.

The autopsy revealed that the victim’s tongue was swollen and protruding from her mouth. One hand showed signs of attempting to remove the noose, suggesting that the victim may have regretted her decision in the last moments, but was too weak or dizzy from strangulation to save herself.
