BAYAHIBE, LA ALTAGRACIA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – JANUARY 24, 2025 Tragic traffic accident occurred on the Autovía del Coral highway, in which a man named Félix Manuel died. The incident took place in the eastern part of the Dominican Republic on one of the country’s most important roads connecting its tourist areas.
According to initial reports, Félix Manuel worked in bus transportation, with some sources identifying him as a bus driver, while others state that he was the driver’s assistant or a fare collector. However, the circumstances of his death remain unclear. Local media reported that he was struck by several passing vehicles on the highway, causing fatal injuries.
A motorcycle was also found at the scene, which helped authorities identify the victim. However, it is not certain whether Félix Manuel was riding the motorcycle, whether he had stopped because of mechanical problems, or whether he was walking on the roadway at the fatal moment.
Investigators have not yet released definitive conclusions about the cause of the accident, and it is unknown whether a specific driver bears responsibility for the incident. The tragedy therefore leaves more questions than answers.
