SAMANÁ, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – JUNE 12, 2015 Tragic accident occurred when a minibus of public transportation collided with a truck on a sharp curve. At least 13 people were killed and 21 others were injured.
The minibus, traveling from Santo Domingo to Las Terrenas, veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the truck. Among the victims were eight women, one child, and four men. Most of the victims were from Las Terrenas and surrounding areas.
The injured were transported to various hospitals for medical treatment. Local authorities, including the Traffic Police, initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
This tragic incident deeply affected the communities of Las Terrenas and Nagua, which united in sorrow over the loss of human lives.
