MANAQUIRI, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – MARCH 29, 2020 46-year-old Raimundo Ferreira dos Santos had been reported missing since March 28. He was last seen on March 27 at a bar, accompanied by two unidentified men.
All hope for his safe return ended on March 29, when he was found dead in a shallow grave. He had a deep machete wound to the head that severed his cervical spine.
His grieving family stated they believe Raimundo was the victim of a robbery-murder, as the day he disappeared was also the day he had received his paycheck.
