Missing woman found murdered on sidewalk

PIEDRAS NEGRAS, MEXICO – OCTOBER 21, 2018 Brenda Nail González Montelongo, 30, a mother of two, was found with a gunshot wound to the head on the sidewalk near her home. She had been missing for ten days. She disappeared on October 11 while on her way to work.

For the victim’s family, the main suspect is her former partner, José “N”. He was allegedly very jealous and had made several death threats against the victim in the past. The family has refuted speculation that it could be a drug-related murder, of which there are many in the area. They said Brenda was honest and never had anything to do with drugs.

Her ex-partner was arrested by the police but was released. There was never enough evidence against him.
