JOÃO PESSOA, PARAÍBA, BRAZIL – AUGUST 31, 2025 In the early morning hours, a fatal traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Maximiano de Figueiredo and Dom Pedro II streets in the city center. A man on a motorcycle ran a red light and entered the intersection at high speed, directly into the path of a bus. Both he and his passenger, who was also his girlfriend, were struck and killed on the spot. The impact was so severe that they were thrown several dozen feet away.
