Video shows the bloody aftermath of a motorcycle crash. For reasons still unknown, the motorcyclist lost control of his bike and slammed into the guardrail, which tore open his face. Still, it can be said he was incredibly lucky to survive.
The incident once again highlights the need to wear at least a high-quality protective helmet, and ideally additional riding gear. Unlike a car, a motorcycle has no crumple zones to protect you, so proper motorcycle clothing represents the only element of passive safety.
