CERETÉ, CÓRDOBA, COLOMBIA – SEPTEMBER 2, 2026 José José Reyes Velásquez, a local carpenter, suffered serious injuries in an accident in the El Quemado sector. He crashed his motorcycle into the rear of a parked van.
The collision caused severe facial injuries, including serious damage to his jaw. Rescue workers took him to Hospital San Diego de Cereté, from where he was later transferred to a hospital in Montería due to the severity of his condition. His condition was described as serious, with an uncertain prognosis.
