PEKALONGAN, CENTRAL JAVA, INDONESIA – SEPTEMBER 3, 2025 Dead human body was found in the rainforest in the Pekalongan area. The discoverer was a waste collector who noticed something suspicious in the bushes but was too afraid to approach. He ran back to his village and reported it to a local official, who then contacted the police.
The police launched a search that confirmed the report. A male body in a mummified state was found in the bushes. Due to its condition, it has not yet been identified. Based on remnants of his clothing, it is suspected that he was a homeless man often seen in the Kajen area. Forensic experts concluded that he had been dead for at least one month at the time of discovery.
Authorities are urging the public to come forward if anyone recognizes the man or is missing a family member, in any way possible.
