Murder of 20-year-old Keri Lynn

BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON, USA – OCTOBER 1998 20-year-old Keri Lynn was here visiting relatives in Bellingham. She went for a walk in the city park, but never returned home. Her friends described her as a trusting and carefree woman. They said she was on the west coast of the United States for the first time in her life.

The investigators read her diary. They discovered that Keri had been having affairs with several men she met on her way to the West Coast. This finding may have contributed to the greater risk, according to the investigators. A large-scale search operation was therefore immediately launched.

Her dead body was discovered by two random boys riding their bikes along a forest path. The victim was in a very sexual position – completely naked and with her legs spread. Her whole body was badly beaten and she bore signs of strangulation. Investigators determined that the killer had spent several hours at the scene since she died.

Another examination of the body showed that the perpetrator had rammed a stick into her pussy. He did it with such force that it broke.

The following day, a parked SUV was found near the crime scene. In his trunk were all the equipment that could match the items used in the murder and found at the crime scene (for example, pruning shears). The car was registered to a gardening company.

When police contacted the business, the business owner said the car was now owned by their employee, James Allen Kinney. He also stated that the last time he saw him was a few days ago when he came to pick up his check. He was also allegedly with a young girl named Kiri. He then identified her from the photos and confirmed that it was her.

During a search of his home, several pornographic magazines and videotapes were found, the contents of which confirmed that James suffers from sadistic sexual paraphilia.

Catching James was not at all easy for the police. He traveled all over the United States doing odd jobs and sometimes sleeping in a homeless shelter.

When he was caught, he voluntarily confessed to Kiri’s murder. He reportedly showed no remorse. He stated that Kiri offered him drugs in the car as the reason for the murder.
