SANTA LUZIA, MARANHÃO, BRAZIL – MARCH 15, 2025 Quiet town in the state of Maranhão was shaken by a case of brutal murder. 27-year-old Adriana Rosa de Oliveira was shot inside her home.
Adriana enjoyed great popularity among her neighbors as well as her followers on social media. She had about 50,000 followers on Instagram and other platforms. She shared posts about fashion, fitness, and her life. Neighbors describe her as a very friendly person and a caring mother to her six-year-old son.

Adriana’s husband, 37-year-old Valdiley Paixão Campos, told the police that an unknown man on a motorcycle entered their house, shot her, and fled the scene. However, the police investigation could not find any evidence matching his statement. No motorcycle was recorded on security cameras nearby. Moreover, it was extremely suspicious that he contacted the police directly instead of calling emergency services.
When the main suspicion fell on her husband, the police began gathering evidence against him. They found out that before her death, Adriana sent voice messages to her close ones expressing fear of her father-in-law, Antônio Silva Campos, being in her house.
Both her husband and her father-in-law were arrested in connection with her murder and are currently awaiting trial. The police also stated that it is possible a third person was involved in the murder.
