LOS ANGELES, USA – AUGUST 9, 1969 Photos show the corpse and scene of the murder of actress Sharon Tate. One of them shows her naked uncensored breast. Sharon was murdered by members of Charles Manson’s sect called the Manson family.
On the evening of August 9, 1969, a car stopped in front of the actress’s house, in which the following staff were sitting: Charles ‘Tex’ Watson, Patricia Krenwinkel, Susan Atkins and Linda Kasabian. Charles Manson convinced them that if they killed Sharon, the murder would be blamed on the local blacks and thus a race war could begin, which in his opinion was inevitable. A group armed with knives and revolvers entered the property, where they first murdered Steven Parent, who was leaving Sharon’s house at the time. They murdered several other people present in the house, including Sharon, who was pregnant at the time. She was stabbed 16 times.

Manson and his ‘family’ were arrested a few weeks after this murder for petty crimes. Only later did it turn out that they were the ones who did the killing. All four were sentenced to death. However, the sentence was reduced to life imprisonment after an amendment to California state law.
