Murdered with 16 sickle blows

CAMPO ALEGRE, ALAGOAS, BRAZIL – MAY 6, 2025 56-year-old Sebastião Fabiano da Silva was attacked on the street by three assailants armed with a sickle and sticks. One of them struck him with the sickle at least 16 times, killing him. The incident was recorded by a security camera.

In connection with his murder, a teenager was arrested. He stated that his act was motivated by a long-standing dispute between two families over the custody of the victim’s granddaughter.
