PERM, RUSSIA – SEPTEMBER 20, 2021 18-year-old Timur Bekmansurov, a forensic medicine student at the law school of the same university, committed one of the largest school massacres in Russian history. With a Huglu Atrox T shotgun, he entered the building of the geography faculty, where he opened fire on students and teachers. In short, anyone who came within reach. Later, he moved into the chemistry building. The attack lasted about 30 minutes. Some students jumped from the windows. In total, he killed 6 people and injured 43.
His dream was to kill as many people as possible. He posted his murderous thoughts on the Russian social network VKontakte. He stressed that he was not motivated by religion or politics, but by pure hatred of people. He also wrote that he had been planning the attack on the school for a long time.
Bekmansurov defended himself to the police by shooting. He then unsuccessfully attempted so-called suicide at the hands of a police officer. He was shot and taken to hospital in a critical condition. His leg had to be amputated.
The victims were: 19-year-old Yaroslav Aramelev, who was the first to die in the school yard in front of the building; 66-year-old Margarita Engaus, the grandmother of a student who had come to the school for a field trip; 24-year-old Anna Aigeldina, a former student who had come to the school to collect her diploma; 20-year-old Alexandra Mokhova, a student; 18-year-old Ksenia Samchenko, a student; 19-year-old Ekaterina Shakirova, a student.
