NIGERIA Body of a woman was found by the roadside. She was bound and covered with a scarf. Signs of torture were found on her body. It was later determined that she had probably been murdered for the purposes of a black magic ritual. The perpetrator is unknown.
Some segments of the population in Nigeria, as well as in other African countries, believe that human blood or certain parts of the human body can bring them some benefit when used in rituals. The most common rituals are performed to gain money and influence.
