TAMBILLO, PICHINCHA, ECUADOR – OCTOBER 1, 2026 One person died and six others were injured in a serious traffic accident. The accident occurred at around 12:56 pm on E35, known as the Panamericana Sur.
A bus, a truck, and a passenger car were involved in the collision. The impact caused extensive damage to the vehicles, and emergency services, including firefighters, paramedics, and police, were dispatched to the scene. The six injured people were treated and subsequently transported to different medical facilities. One person died at the scene.
Because of the accident, E35 was temporarily completely closed in the section near Tambillo. The circumstances and exact cause of the collision remain under investigation.
