BUDGAM DISTRICT, JAMMU AND KASHMIR, INDIA – SEPTEMBER, 2026 Pakistani high-ranking Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Mohammad Asif, alias Hashim Moosa, was killed during a gunfight with Indian security forces on the night of September 29-30, 2026. According to Indian authorities, he was a former commando of Pakistan’s Special Service Group (SSG) and one of the most wanted members of LeT. He was linked to several attacks in the region, including the April 2025 attack in Pahalgam, in which 26 people were killed.
