Frontier Corps is a paramilitary Pakistani security force that operates in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa near the border with Afghanistan. Their task is to guard the borders and fight insurgents and militant groups that occur in these provinces.
TTP is an Islamist militant organization that is often referred to as the Pakistani Taliban. Ideologically, they are very close to the Afghan Taliban and even cooperate closely with them. Their goal is to weaken or overthrow the government in Islamabad and introduce their own radical version of Islamic law. Members of the TTP consider the FC, the army, and the police to be apostates from Islam. In their eyes, they serve a secular state, cooperate with the West, and fight against them.
