Passenger falls from burning hot air balloon mid-flight

GENERAL ENRIQUE ESTRADA, ZACATECAS, MEXICO – MAY 11, 2025 During the first year of the hot air balloon festival in the village of General Enrique Estrada, a tragic accident occurred, claiming the life of one person. One of the balloons caught fire mid-flight, including the passenger basket, and one person became trapped inside. To avoid a painful and certain death in the flames, they clung to a rope. But they couldn’t hold on for long and eventually fell into an uninhabited area.
