HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA – NOVEMBER 1, 2022 Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was an 28-year-old American rapper and a member of the popular hip-hop group Migos. The group became famous for hits such as “Bad and Boujee,” “MotorSport,” and “Walk It Talk It.”

Takeoff was killed during a private party at 810 Billiards & Bowling, where a shooting broke out following an argument. Takeoff was struck by several gunshots to the head and torso and died at the scene. Two other people were injured in the shooting.

According to investigators, Takeoff was not armed and was not considered to be the person who was originally targeted in the shooting.
