MANILA, PHILIPPINES – JULY 14, 2026 46-year-old Norberto Fabio Jr., a Move It rider, became the victim of a robbery. The incident occurred before 3:00 a.m. after he picked up a passenger. During the ride, the passenger waited for the right opportunity, and when they reached Block 10 on Talangka Street in Caloocan, he stabbed the rider in the neck with an ice pick. The rider collapsed to the ground, and the suspect stole his motorcycle and used it to flee the scene.

The suspect escaped to Malabon, where, in the Borromeo Proper area, he attempted to rob another motorcycle rider, 21-year-old Jhamel, a Grab rider. However, the victim fought back by loudly calling for help. Passersby immediately responded, chased the suspect, and pursued him through the area. They eventually caught him after he ran into a dead-end alley. They beat him and handed him over to police officers.
Police recovered several stolen items from the suspect, including the motorcycle and mobile phones. The investigation is still ongoing to determine whether the suspect could also be connected to other similar unsolved cases in the city.
