Forty-two-year-old Kevin Watson, nicknamed “Tugg,” was live streaming on Facebook from his car parked in a lot on West Madison Street. Suddenly, another car pulled up beside him, and a man got out, interrupting him with a gun pointed in his direction.

Although Kevin initially acted friendly toward the attacker and even greeted him with “What’s up, bro?”, the footage shows the assailant forcing him out of the car. Gunshots followed shortly after. Bystanders rushed to Kevin’s side, providing first aid until paramedics arrived. He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
His phone continued streaming, and while the video does not directly show Kevin dying, the voices of the onlookers capture the horror of the scene. Even more shocking is the fact that Kevin’s family – specifically his cousin Jacquez Smith – was reportedly watching the stream as it happened.
The video is now widely viral, and the internet is buzzing with speculation about the attacker’s motive. According to initial police findings, the motive appears to have been robbery, with the thief targeting Kevin’s gold chain.
