XALAPA, VERACRUZ, MEXICO DiDi delivery service couriers caught an alleged scammer. He was having fun by creating fake orders on DiDi, Uber etc. platforms, which was delivered but he failed to show up at the pick-up point and did not pay. So the couriers had to pay for the damage mostly out of their own pockets.
The scammer
For many couriers, it was very personal, so his arrest turned into a lynching after a while. He was punched several times at the place of detention, then dragged out and kicked en masse.
According to one of the participants in the lynching, he cheated not only by not showing up at the delivery point of the order. He said there were also several occasions when he ambushed the courier, took the order from him and ran away with it.
