BOQUERÓN, GUAYAS PROVINCE, ECUADOR – JULY 16, 2026 22-year-old Adriana Macías died and her 19-year-old sister Nathalia suffered serious injuries in a traffic accident in Ecuador’s Guayas Province.
The sisters were traveling on a motorcycle along a road in the Boquerón area near the canton of Colimes when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, they collided with a truck that was reportedly parked on the side of the road.
Adriana Macías died at the scene of the accident due to severe injuries, while Nathalia was transported in critical condition to a hospital in Guayaquil, where she remained hospitalized in a serious condition. No updates regarding her current health condition or information on whether she survived are available.
