UKRAINE Soldier suffered a severe injury to his foot following a landmine explosion. The blast practically tore his foot apart and left the soldier unable to continue moving. Unfortunately, footage of similar incidents is an everyday reality of war.
Landmines are not designed to kill. Their purpose is to cause exactly these kinds of injuries. A wounded soldier is much more demanding for the enemy to care for and transport than a dead soldier.
