SAPOPEMBA, SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL Thamiris Ferreira, sitting with friends at a wine bar, was nearly killed when she was sideswiped by a speeding motorcyclist. The impact sent her flying out of her chair and sliding along the street, while the motorcyclist fell to the ground. Ferreira miraculously escaped with only bruises on her arms, legs, hips, and back, without any broken bones. She said her injuries could have been much worse if she hadn’t rolled onto a parked motorcycle during the fall. The incident was captured on video and highlighted the dangers of high-speed riding on the streets.
