RECIFE, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – MAY, 2026 In the Cabanga district, a violent conflict occurred between two neighbors which resulted in serious injury to a 57-year-old man. The incident began with a verbal argument in front of the woman’s house, with whom the man had long-standing disputes.
The situation quickly escalated when the man arrived at the scene with a wooden stick and tried to attack the woman. In response, she armed herself with two knives and the conflict continued to escalate. A physical altercation occurred, during which the woman stabbed the man several times in the head.
The argument was finally stopped by witnesses who intervened and separated both participants. The man was taken to the hospital with injuries, while the woman was detained by the police and later released after questioning. The investigation is still ongoing and police are assessing the circumstances and claims of self-defense.
