SUDAN RSF (Rapid Support Forces) was a unit originally created by the government of former president Omar al-Bashir to suppress uprisings and maintain security in the regions. Gradually, however, it gained independence in the country, along with enormous power.
Since April 2023, the RSF has been fighting the regular national army in a brutal civil war that is devastating the entire country. Both sides have demonstrably committed war crimes, including massacres, rape, looting, and ethnic cleansing.
The video shows one of many unnecessarily lost human lives, as RSF militants execute a civilian. He was likely accused of collaborating with the government. It is hard to say whether justly or unjustly. The RSF often only needs suspicion or an anonymous tip to carry out an execution.
