OLANCHITO, YORO, HONDURAS – AUGUST 25, 2025 On the parking lot behind a supermarket, a man working there as a security guard was murdered. As he stepped out onto the loading ramp, two armed men ran toward him and shot him multiple times, killing him. They then fled the scene.
The victim was identified as 40-year-old José Luis Alonso Arita. The motive of the attackers remains unknown, and the police are actively investigating the case. The victim’s family has refused to allow an autopsy.
