ISTANBUL, TURKEY – JANUARY 6, 2015 Diana Ramazanova, 18, was a suicide bomber who detonated an explosive device outside a police station in Istanbul, killing one police officer. She was pregnant at the time of the assassination. She had earned the nickname “the black widow” from the media.

Diana was born in Degestan, a Muslim part of the Russian Federation. However, her family said the girl was never a deeply religious person. She even wore miniskirts. They say she was a perfectly normal teenager.
But that changed when she met Abu Aluevitsj Edelbiyev. He was a strongly religious Chechen with Norwegian citizenship and a penchant for extremism. He persuaded Diana to travel with him through Turkey to Syria, where they both wanted to join Islamic State fighters.

However, Edelbiyev was killed during the fighting. The fanatical Diana wanted to meet him in paradise, so it was not difficult to persuade her to commit suicide.
