JABOATÃO DOS GUARARAPES, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 6, 2025 On a sugarcane plantation in Lote 92 in the metropolitan area of Recife, the body of a young woman was found. She was lying face down on a dirt path. There was a gunshot wound to her head. Investigators managed to identify her as 16-year-old Ana Clara Soares, who lived in the nearby Muribequinha neighborhood.

According to preliminary information, she had been abducted from her home in the evening of the previous day, September 5, 2025. Some neighbors reported seeing a group of armed men break into her house and forcibly take her away.
One scenario in the investigation is that her murder may be related to a video that had recently circulated on social media. In it, Ana is seen involved in a fight with another woman. Ana had commented on the fight several times in her Instagram stories. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether these events are connected in any way.
