SAINJANI, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA – SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 Two teenagers were found hanging from a mango tree. A 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl had reportedly been in a relationship for several months, which their families did not approve of.
Both disappeared from their homes, and their families searched for them during the night. The following morning, their bodies were found on the outskirts of the village. Police secured the scene, collected evidence, and ordered autopsies.
According to the preliminary investigation, the case may have been connected to their relationship and pressure from their families. Police, however, said the circumstances of their deaths are still under investigation and that the autopsy results are expected to provide the final conclusions. Some sources also report that the boy’s family expressed suspicion that the deaths may have been the result of murder, so the case cannot yet be conclusively classified as suicide.
