OAHU, HAWAII, USA – FEBRUARY 8, 2025 Tragic incident occurred on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, shaking not only the local community but also many tourists who visit Hawaii for adventurous activities. Twenty-eight-year-old Santiago Bourdieu from Argentina underestimated the dangers associated with the popular cliff-jumping spot known as Spitting Cave in Honolulu.

Spitting Cave, a favorite location among adrenaline enthusiasts, is known for its breathtaking views but also its high risks. Santiago decided to jump from the approximately 50-foot (15-meter) high cliff into the churning ocean waves. However, he did not resurface, which immediately raised concerns among his friends who were watching the event.
Rescue teams were quickly dispatched to the site and began an intensive search. After 15 minutes, divers located the young man, but his condition was critical. Despite being transported to the hospital immediately, it was too late—doctors could only confirm his death.
