Trafficker used his underage girlfriend as human shield

POJUCA, BAHIA, BRAZIL – MARCH 25, 2015 18-year-old trafficker, Ednei França Santos, was walking down the street with his 16-year-old girlfriend, Cailane Sales. They were surprised by two hit men. Ednei, in an attempt to dodge the bullets, used his girlfriend as a human shield. She was hit several times and died on the spot. Ednei was hit once in the abdomen, taken to hospital and rescued.
