SAN JOSÉ NACAHUIL, GUATEMALA – MARCH, 2026 In the rural area of San José Nacahuil, in a roadside ditch, two dead bodies of a man and a woman were found by local residents. Volunteer firefighters, who arrived at the scene first, stated that both had clearly died a violent death – they were tied up and had marks of strangulation on their necks.
The bodies were transported to the medical institute, where a forensic autopsy will be carried out in order to determine the identities of the victims and find the exact cause of death. Authorities believe they were murdered elsewhere and only dumped at the discovery site.
