RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – JULY 29, 2026 Two dismembered bodies were found on Rua Ubá Gerais street in the Vila Kennedy neighborhood in the western part of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The remains were discovered hidden inside three plastic bags near a local gas station.
Police officers from the 14th Military Police Battalion in Bangu arrived at the scene, closed off the area, and secured it for forensic investigation. The case was later taken over by the Homicide Investigation Division.
The identities of the discovered individuals have not yet been released. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the case and are working to determine who is responsible for the murders.
